Our cultural traditions have definitely changed throughout the years and we have lost a lot of things we used to cherish and love. In many cultures for example the asain and africal culture tattoos used to be very important. It also had a religion aspect to it back in the olden days. Many used tattoos as a form of respect to their religion except for the catholics and christians because tattoos were banned in those religion. But ancient civilizations like the Egyptians had tattoo markings for social status that the Asian civilizations did as well. This shows that tattoos definitely does have a significant meaning that does not involve rebellion.
